And that's why we're blind today...

Yesterday I learned just how much O and M (orientation and mobility) skills are useful. My best friend and I travelled to the Lindonpark Mall yesterday just to hang out. So we were walking around, oh and by the way she found her way around the mall all by herself, and anyways we were walking around and this nice little old man comes up to us. "Excuse me," he says politely. "Are you totally blind?"

"Yes Sir we are," my best friend answers.

"Have you ever had anyone pray over you?" he asks.

"Pardon?" We didn't hear him the first time.

"Have you ever had anyone pray over you?" Well this is awkward.

"Uh... no sir but we need to get going. Thanks," my friend says and we hurry off. I was so tempted to answer "Yeah we've had someone pray over us, that's why we're blind in the first place.' But I'm not that mean.

wow. The commenting stuff's been broken for a while. Every time I wanted to leave this comment, it would 404 me when I'd go to post.

But anyway, I know someone who thought this person meant, "I'll pray for you." or "would you be offended if I prayed for you?" he sorta said, whatever. And suddenly the guy and his friends were laying hands on him and praying over him in the middle of a hallway! He was so embarrassed!
